What is a Drag Wedding?

The art of Drag has a long history.  Not only does it involve elaborate costumes, it also involves personas, movement and training in skills from costume design, to make up application, and training for walking in some very high heels.  We are impressed not only by the skills involved in drag, but we also love that drag performers can express themselves through this medium.

One thing that the I Do Drive Thru has done well is diversity.  We support all of our Officiants, who come from many countries, from different backgrounds and from different cultures.  Some of our Officiants are in same sex relationships, some are single, some are married with children.  Our Officiants work hard to please the diverse range of couples that come through to be married with us and we love that they all bring their individual flair to our ceremonies.

Our Drag Officiants are based in Los Angeles and New York.

In Los Angeles, we have the iconic Karen Beaches.  Karen is self described as the most iconic Officiant to come our of a double wide trailer, she is classy, brassy and a little bit bad-assy.

Karen will dial the glamour up to 100 on your wedding day and you will have nothing but envy for her fabulous outfits.

Karen is here to assist same sex couples, hetero couples, families or even movie stars.  Her beautiful blend of sass and care will be a beautiful addition to your wedding day.

In New York, the blue blood flows deep through the veins of our very own Drag Officiant, Prince Powderpouffe.  The Prince can meet you at any iconic New York landmark and get your married in the most delightful way possible.  His class and beautiful outfits ensure that your wedding photos are something extremely memorable.

The Prince will produce a fairytale ending for you and your partner and he will assist you in the perfect elopement day.

A drag wedding runs just like any of our other elopement or small wedding ceremony.
