Hello and welcome to the ‘I Do Drive Thru’ wedding of Rachel and Ross, or as I like to call it, 7 minutes of heaven!
By way of a brief introduction, I’m (officiant) and I’m thrilled to be part of today’s proceedings and assist in getting you guys hitched!
Rachel and Ross, we’ve come here today to celebrate the love you found together and I’m honored to be part of such an important moment in your lives.
Today is about the unbreakable connection which has brought you together and which will see you through the good times and the more difficult times too.
You’ve chosen to make your wedding vows today in a ‘short & sweet’ ceremony, with just your witnesses and myself present. Your love however, is a deep and profound kind of love! But also one which requires no whistles and bells, no special effects and no cast of thousands.
Just you, these two magnificent witnesses and me, to tie the knot!
A good marriage is based on many things. Love, respect, honesty, integrity and the ability to laugh together and also find your own unique brand of love.
But one of the most important things is kindness and so, just before you make your vows, I’d like to read this quote from the film ‘About Time’, by Richard Curtis.
“I’d only give one piece of advice to anyone marrying. We’re all quite similar in the end. We all get old and tell the same tales too many times. But whatever you do, try and marry someone kind.”
And with that, let’s move on to the formal proceedings where you will promise to love each other today, tomorrow and for all time.
